From the parking lot of Yasuragi Park, walk about 350m along the riverside promenade. The river is by no means beautiful, but it is a spot that history lovers can enjoy. There are no remains in Nagashima Castle, but 300 years ago pine trees remain in the schoolyard of the elementary school.

There used to be a Heijo castle with 20,000 stones from the Nagashima domain on the site of Nagashima Chubu Elementary School and Nagashima Junior High School. It seems that the castle tower was not originally built. I think there is a history that the whole Nagashima town was soaked in water due to the Ise Bay typhoon, but the remains of the castle are only the topography. The only former Otemon gate has been relocated as the gate of the nearby Renshoji Temple and remains. A promenade is developed along the Nagashima gawa River, which seems to have been a moat, and from Nagashima station to Nagashima Jo castle site, Mataki Chaya, water ...
