Mount Heng Scenic Area, located in Hunyuan County, Datong City, Shanxi Province, spans Shanxi and Hebei provinces. It stretches across the border, towering and majestic. The great Tang Dynasty poet Li Bai left the ink mark 'magnificent' on Mount Heng. After Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty went to Mount Tai for the sealing ceremony, he personally came to Mount Heng for the sacrifice, held the 'Burying the Original Jade' ceremony, and sealed Mount Heng as a god for the first time. Afterwards, emperors of all dynasties continued to seal Mount Heng. In the first year of the Tang Kaiyuan, the Northern Peak was sealed as the King of Peace; in the fourth year of the Song Dazhong Xiangfu, it was further sealed as the Holy Emperor of the King of Peace; after Kublai Khan unified the world, the Northern Peak was further sealed as the True Yuan Holy Emperor of the King of Peace; in the third year of his reign, the founding emperor of the Ming Dynasty, Zhu Yuanzhang, decreed to change the name of the god of Mount Heng. "Mount Heng", also known as "Northern Mount Heng", is located about 10 kilometers south of Hunyuan County in Shanxi Province, with its main peak, Tianfeng Ridge, standing at 2017 meters above sea level. The Heng Mountain Range is a series of peaks between the Sanggan River and the Hutuo River, in the southeastern part of Datong City in Shanxi Province and the southern part of Zhangjiakou City in Hebei Province. It extends roughly from southwest to northeast, with a length of about 300 kilometers from east to west and a width of about 80 kilometers from north to south. The highest peak is Mantou Mountain, located on the border of Shanyin County and Ying County, with an elevation of 2426 meters.
