Temple X, the Buddhist temple
Preah Pithu is a group of five temples (T, U, V, Y and X) at Angkor, Cambodia. "X" is a Buddhist temple, it remained unfinished and is probably the latest. The others are Hindu.
Temple "X" stands on a large terrace, 4 meters high, about 100 meters east of temple "U". It is straight reachable from there if the moat is dry. It is similar in design to the former temples but is larger and incomplete in its decorations. "X" is a buddhist temple: on the walls of the sanctuary chamber there is a double row of sculpted Buddhas.

Wat Paknam Bhasicharoen Temple
Wat Paknam Bhasicharoen is one of my favourite temples in Bangkok. The entire compound is stunning, with a rich cultural heritage, remarkable architecture and tranquil atmosphere.
One of the highlights is the breathtaking pagoda which is the most stunning spot that I have experienced in Thailand. The ceiling and the pagoda will mesmerise you. Both are incredibly beautiful!
Also, the big Buddha at Wat Paknam Bhasicharoen is incredible, it is one of the largest that I have seen so far.
If you are exploring Bangkok, Wat Paknam Bhasicharoen is a must-visit, it won’t disappoint you! Definitely it will give you a great escape from the bustling city.

The temples of Angkor Wat, Cambodia🇰🇭
📍Siem Reap, Angkor Wat Temples
Our first destination in Cambodia! Although Cambodia is only an hours flight from Thailand, there is no doubt that you are in a completely different country. Cambodia is smaller, less developed and more rural than Thailand. There seems to be fewer crowds and less tourists roaming the streets. The first thing that I noticed was how friendly Cambodian people are, they are so so welcoming and proud of their country.
Siem Reap is home to the Angkor Wat Temples and we took a 9 hour tour, exploring the some of the main ones. As Angkor Wat is the largest religious monument on the planet, there was so much to see. We learned such interesting history of the temples and of Cambodia from our lovely tour guide. And we really felt like we were tomb raiders, exploring the ancient temples. We finished the day with a big climb up a mountain by Bayon Temple to watch the sunset.

Sukhothai - Marvellous hidden destination
#sukhothai #thailand #buddhism #temple #
Sukhothai is home to the first Siamese/Thai civilisation and a trip to the old town makes it a wonderful opportunity for natural sightseeing and cultural experience, in an often ignored destination.
Best and cheapest way to visit Sukhothai is via rapid train from Bangkok to Phitsanulok which takes 4 hours and cost less than 500 bath. From there you simply need to go to the bus station with daily buses to Sukhothai Old Town for 60bath and 1.5hr.
The main attraction in Sukhothai old town is the Historical Park, a large ruin complex of the first Siamese civilisation. The park is nicely shaded and the Buddhist and Brahmanist ruins beautifully maintained. It’s possible to rent a bicycle just outside the gate to visit the park.
I highly recommend staying at Sukhothai Garden Hotel, located right in the middle of the town. Rooms go for ~1,000 bath, and the old couple managing the hotel is very friendly and helpful. Very clean rooms and breakfast is great! Choose an upper floor room for a nice view of mountain at sunset.
Sukhothai noodles are a famous dish in Thailand which is possible to find in several franchise outlets in the country. Here however restaurants offer the original version which is very delicious. Visit Jay Hae Sukhothai Noodle to try them
-Best tour guide for historical park and Sukhothai culture: Buu Tananya. (IG: buutananya). She speaks perfect English and can suggest best places to appreciate the culture. Highly worth it
-Almsgiving in Wat Traphang Tong bridge. Very unique atmosphere the offering of food to monks there. Anyone can join in the ritual.
Large Buddhist Temple located right across the street from Tsukiji Fish Market. It takes about a 5 min walk. From the exterior, it definitely do not look like a temple, so it was pretty cool to see the different architecture of temples in central Tokyo. You can go inside for free and I recommend you stop by the cafe too if you are visiting the area. They serve lunch, dessert and tea too. #temple #japan #buddhism #tsukiji #tsukijimarket

Beautiful Wanshou Temple in Beijing
Wanshou temple is one of the most famous ancient temples in the west of China's capital Beijing. It was built in the 5th year under the reign of emperor Wanli of Ming Dynasty (about 1577), so it's one of the oldest temples in Beijing. It's a Buddhist temple and worshipers are seen making offerings.
I enjoyed a serene walk across the temple, very quiet, very meditative. The massive Buddha statue at the very end is indeed impresive.
📍 It's a 1.2 km walk (about 20 min) from exit A of the National Library metro station on line 4 or 9.
