goryogaoka forever!
Along the road just south of Goryokaku Tower, the "Hakosho Goryogaoka Monument" stood. There was also an explanation board next to the monument that said "Goryogaoka forever". According to it, the current Hakodate Commercial High School was built in this area from 1922 to 1970. To commemorate that, it was a monument built by the school's alumni association.
Compared to the location, tourists seem less interested.
A monument stood in front of Goryokaku Tower. It looked like a school site for tourists, but it was a very powerful monument.
There was Hakodate commercial (school school high school) here
A monument indicating that the former Hakodate Commercial Co., Ltd. was once located in this area. It was moved from Motomachi to here in 1922. In 1970, it was further moved to Showa Town. For a while after the relocation, only the gymnasium was left and used as a sports facility for citizens. Hakodate Commercial High School is now the longest located at its current address.
School Gate
It is near Goryokaku Tower. It seems that the school gate on Goryokaoka of Hakodate Commercial School has been relocated. What is between the school gates is the school emblem mercury.
