We visited several outdoor markets and night markets during our stay in Bangkok, but I definitely recommend Chatuchak Weekend Market. It is located right outside Kamphaeng Phet MRT Blue Line station. The market covers a pretty large area, although many of the shops in the inner alleyways were closed when we visited. We still found the prices to be better than many other touristy markets and managed to pick up some souvenirs for friends and family.
Huge market that could easily spend whole day at with many different sections. suggest to avoid animal area as you see everything caged is sad. Fans under the market to keep cooler as you wander the stalls or enjoy some iced tea or fresh coconut water. lots of food options too. Great place for souvenirs and some homeware. fairly easy to get too, check the website for location and Google maps is accurate route plan.
It is a shopping center that no matter what year or which era, it is still popular with tourists, whether it is Thai and foreigners, which has both one hand and second-hand prices, including rare items, the price can be tangible. It is recommended to wear a comfortable shirt.
busy busking lots on offer including clothes that you won’t find anywhere else! food is good too at a great price!
I came back to Chatuchak Weekend Market after 13 years.. I had never been to Bangkok during that time, but I arrived late in the morning on Sunday.. I really thought of the word "a sense of space".. The shopping mall is also reorganized ㅎㅎ But I keep thinking about the past, so I only go to familiar places ^^
There are a lot of things to buy. The corridor is well organized, easy to walk, even if going in the morning, just set up a shop, there are still many interesting shops, if going to a bustling time, it would be more fun to see.
whoa! the place was really overwhelming! so much food, items for shopping, clothes, perfumes, household materials and everything under the sun! magnificent place!!! Value for money too. My 2k baht was all worth it!
