Akita Nishikoku Kannon pilgrimage site
Original Text
Ryusenji is a temple of the Jishu sect located about a 23-minute walk from JR Akita Station. I worshiped when I took a walk around Teramachi in Akita in July. The copper-roofed mountain gate welcomes worshipers. In front of the mountain gate, there were stone Buddhas of Senju Kannon Bodhisattva and Jizo Bodhisattva. It is the 23rd temple of Akita Saigoku Kannon Sacred Ground. In the precincts, there were six Jizo, eleven-faced Kannon Bodhisattva stone statues, main hall, and Kuri. Temples are gathered around the area, so it is a recommended spot for those who are interested in shrines and temples.
