Coylumbridge Resort Hotel

When we first arrived at the hotel we were greeted warmly and given checked in fairly quickly. I had chosen a “cosy double room” didn’t realise quite how cosy this room would be. The bed was smaller than a regular double bed and the bathroom was pretty small too. There was plenty of parking in front and behind the main hotel building. Our room was in the courtyard which was separate from the main hotel building. The courtyard is not well signposted and we were quite confused trying to find our room initially, we had to ask a cleaner for directions. Other than being small the room itself was fine. The bed was fairly comfy and there were spare pillows in the small cupboard. The room had tea/ coffee making facilities and a tv with multiple channels. The walls were pretty thin so we could hear everything the people next to us were saying so bare that in mind. The bathroom appeared clean at first but upon further inspection the shower had spilled soap/ shampoo on the floor from the previous people that stayed there. Next to the hotel is the woodshed. The Woodshed was cosy, clean and served a variety of different snacks and drinks. Amy who works there was very friendly and welcoming and showed good knowledge of the surrounding areas. It also had popular music playing and a pool table. Dogs were welcome in this area. There was a real fireplace in here however this wasn’t lit when we visited.

Nice property in a quiet area which we've stayed in a few times now. House is clean and well appointed and there's shops nearby. The bikes supplied with the house are a good extra to have available. Accessibility at rear of house isn't ideal for people wi

We have been renting cottages in the Highlands for most of the last 15 years and this one was one of the best. As we self cater, it is important that the kitchen is well equipped, which this one certainly was.

On arrival we struggled to find reception which is not sign-posted. My disabled wife had asked for an accessible room, however we were put in room 2246. The lift stops between floors 2 & 3 with 8 stairs going down to 2 and up to 3. ( crazy) Room was ok but TV didn't work. Breakfast was an ordeal. We had to que for 15 mins to be seated. Everything was lukewarm and beans and fried egg quite cold, ( the cold plates didn't help ) We had a drink in the bar and nearly all the tables were littered with empty glasses which the staff ignored. This hotel is not disabled friendly. No way is this 4 star service.
