I have to say this was probably the worst experience I have had in any hotel let alone a premier inn. I had an automated email a week in advance of my booking which told me to get in touch to book dinner etc. on that email the room stated it was a king but I had booked a family room with a king and two singles. I emailed the hotel and stated this and asked to book breakfast and dinner times as I had paid for the meal deal. I was advised my room would be a king with two singles but that dinner would not be available throughout my stay due to a “kitchen problem” I asked for a refund on this asap. On arrival this was reiterated to me and I was told I was getting a refund, so went up to the room which was not made up as stated it was a king and one single, we found another single under the king and pulled it out but the spare bedding was mixed in with a previous guest under wear and was also damp. The shower curtain was mouldy as was the window and curtain which we couldn’t open and the chair was stained. I went down and informed the staff who honestly couldn’t have cared less and just kept telling me they were full which … I didn’t care about I wanted the room made up correctly and clean. The third bed was made up while we were out having dinner but nothing else was cleaned. None of the sheets actually fitted the bed and so there was nothing between the pillows and mattress. On the second evening when we were again heading out for dinner we noticed that dinner service was happening despite what we had been told. When questioned on this the staff told me I was cancelled due to them not knowing the rota in advance which is just ridiculous. Why offer me to book the meal in advance if you can’t guarantee staff will be available for it? Why cancel me and then go ahead with it anyway? Why are staff not rotated to accommodate guest rather than guests messed around to accommodate staff rotas? Between the messing and the utterly disgusting room it really ruined our holiday.

The room was ok , tidy clean etc . Couldn’t hear next door rooms . Down side was ….. upstairs had a couple of buffaloes running around. Never had so much noise from above before . So bad the vent of the A/C was rattling !!! This went on until 1am . The next night it started at 1am . It’s down to poor build quality of the building . Breakfast was ok , £10 all You can eat quality is debatable. Fills a hole etc

Good experience apart from no dinner available for the first 4 days of our stay. They never told us prior to our stay, and had to refund us. We are still waiting for the refund. Room also was not cleaned during our stay. We had to ask to get clean towels and the bins emptied. On a positive note - decent breakfast and comfy bed.

Whilst travelling with the kids we needed somewhere to stop-in for a late breakfast. After arriving into Aviemore at just before 10.30am we spotted the Premier Inn - so I chanced asking if they could accommodate us for a quick breakfast (kids looking for cereal and toast). The manager explained that they finished serving at 10.30am but would be willing to serve us a continental breakfast - and he did not charge us for the kids breakfast, which was a much appreciated gesture. Next time we are stopping in Aviemore we will defo look to stop here after that service.

Bookings made well in advance for a family room and elder cousin; obliged to book the Easter weekend due to demand. A bed short on arrival in the family room. Quickly sorted by “complaint” but management let us down by not getting it right. Beware of connecting doors. Elder cousin accommodated in such a room but not overly inconvenienced during normal sleeping hours but should same be advertised at booking? Connecting doors will never be soundproof. Rooms clean but not spotless. Spare bedding just shoved under bed haphazardly. Clean bathroom with bath and shower. Instructions for using room temperature control included but 19degC seemed minimum at the end of March. Too warm for a south-facing room in summer or will the control be unlocked to allow room cooling in the summer? Nice handwritten Easter card delivered to guests. Much appreciated! A small number of staff makes this Inn work by multi-tasking. Inevitably, some delays in service occur because of this. Sat/Sun breakfast was great but the chef on Easter Monday couldn’t cope - over-fried eggs gone abegging (delay in replenishment) and bacon top-up underdone. Evening meals are good though choice limited. Draught beers limited to Madri and Coors. The accommodation wasn’t cheap because of dynamic pricing. I’ve highlighted the negatives. Quiet during sleeping hours despite being next to a mainline railway. Fantastic breakfasts; a restaurant (closed on Easter Sunday) and a bar (open on Easter Sunday). Situated at the north end of Aviemore - phone signal may be absent indoors! Cheap and cheerful?

The room wasn’t hoovered. The sink plug was stuck and took almost 4 hours for someone to come and fix it. My cup had dried in coffee so obviously hadn’t been checked. I had to wait for breakfast items and the chef was rude…mumbling under his breath about guests. I will not be returning.

Wild camped the night before up in the mountains, this was a a great place for a nice shower and sleep before returning back home to London, staff are very attentive and breakfast was great with every option you can think off. 5 minute walk down the road, there is a cluster of shops for any necessities and touristy bits including a northface shop and a really nice pub located behind the hotel

Another fabulous stay at this super hotel. It was excellent last year and standards again this year were equally as good. The breakfast as always was superb and every single member of staff went out of their way to be super-helpful and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble. A big thanks to all staff, including Rachel, Jorga, Nathan and Aaran who made our stay extra-special.
