Photos of Longxing Temple

Longxing Temple is also known as Big Buddha Temple. It is located in Zhengding Town in Shijiazhuang's Zhengding County. Construction on Longxing Temple began in the Sui Dynasty. It was highly valued by many emperors. Inside Longxing Temple sit a number of gilded Bodhisattvas, built per the orders of Song Emperor Taizu (Zhao Kuangyin), as well as all sorts of handwritten inscriptions and plaques by Qing-era emperors. The architectural style inside the temple is primarily from the Song and Jin Dynasties. A trip to this ancient Buddhist monastery is sure to be memorable.
