This is one of Malacca's major churches and the oldest Roman Catholic church in the country. It dates back to the Dutch colonial era, which followed the occupation by the Portuguese. After years of persecution and churches destroyed by the Dutch, the Portuguese population were given a plot of land and thus this church came to be. It's a beautiful structure and a huge space outside of the old part of town. I didn't come here for a service but the doors were open for visitors.
