We had the best night here. We decided to look for wine with food pairings and found that this greatly enhanced our enjoyment. The experience of being able to enjoy the sommelier service was brand new to us and it was a highlight. We did not like passive acceptance of what someone had pressed us and the wine and food we chose to go with was excellent. The food was excellent as you would expect, but the waiters at this restaurant made our experience extra special.
Dinner by Heston Blumenthal
Located in the Mandarin Oriental next to Hyde park
1⃣️starters: meat fruit, salamagundy
The meat fruit that used to be a piece was replaced with plum. It is made of chicken liver paste. The mousse has a layer of jelly on the outside. The first bite is amazing and the bread is more delicious.
2⃣️main: spicy squab pigeon, ribeye
The super tender pigeon meat and ribeye are very good
3⃣️dessert: tipsy cake, chocolate drops
I like this baked pineapple ➕ soft cake. The surface of the cake is crispy and the bottom is sweet and soft cake soaked in brandy. Chocolate drops are also delicious.
The location is good, the restaurant environment is OK, and the service is not bad. There are many Asians, and I feel that there are many Chinese people. I personally think it is a bit salty. It may be a bit too high from the previous reviews. I am not particularly satisfied. However, it is worth coming Check in and try.
While also having always stable food quality and service quality, Dinner by Heston has a larger capacity, a more central location, and a more relaxed dining environment than Ledbury. After eating every appetizer, main course, and dessert, I can’t say my absolute favorite, because almost every dish is delicious; but for the first time guests, don’t miss the appetizer Meat Fruit and Dessert Tipsy Cake.
Britain's most popular "sensory chef"
Heston Blumenthal is good at stimulating "taste function" with senses. @ Ctrip cuisine lin Oriental Mandarin Hotel, London Dinner By Heston Blumenthal is the new taste of traditional British cuisine created by this playful chef! Assisted by food historians to find old recipes, and co-created by executive chef Ashley Palmer-Watts, Dinner by Heston Blumenthal restaurant is a two-Michelin star restaurant. Meat fruit is inspired by old dishes from 1500 and is the starter of a meal. The orange jelly is wrapped with chicken liver mousse in the "concept of pastry", and it looks like a real orange no matter the color or texture. Tipsy Cake and "Ice Cream Cart Cone" are must-eats. Tipsy Cake is a slightly drunk cake, with the aroma of lime and mayonnaise sauce. The soft aroma of the wine-dipped cake is difficult to try. The slightly boiled cake is a bit greasy. The accompanying pineapple is baked on charcoal fire for three to four hours, and the secret apple juice is added every twenty minutes to "caramelize" it. The last "Ice Cream Cone" is a magical dessert made with liquid nitrogen mixed with Custard sauce. After eating, the "sensory and delicious" of Heston Blumenthal is officially completed!
