Dee Dote WaterFall Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in Apr)
Perfect place for hiking!
Dee Dote waterfall is located a bit far from Mandalay, approximately 40km away but it is totally worthy coming to this incredible place.
It is an amazing experience, the waterfall is so beautiful and quite surrounded by nature. There is a local restaurant next to the waterfall where you can have lunch or drink something, also they have toilet.
We came here by tuk tuk 🛺 with a local friend.

Inwa Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in Apr)
innwa ancient town 🏛️🛕
#timetotravel
The city is called Inwa and it’s about 20 kilometres away from Mandalay. One of an ancient town in Myanmar.
What makes it particularly interesting is that it’s built on an artificial island, made in the 1300s by connecting the Irrawaddy and Myitnge Rivers with a canal. The city of Inwa was also once surrounded by a huge wall, which apparently formed the outline of a seated lion.
Myanmar is a Buddhist country, so there are often monks in the streets of Myanmar, and Mandalay will be more.
The niece who met in the market, among them are young girls and elderly ladies. The pink robes are in the messy market and become a beautiful landscape. When our shots were aimed at them, the older monks greeted us with a smile and enthusiasm, and we responded more enthusiastically to them. The younger girl shyly covered her face.
This kind of enthusiasm, this kind of warmth, this kind of infectious smile is something I haven't seen in the busy metropolis of China for a long time, that kind of warmth goes straight into the heart and makes you feel that this world is so Beautiful.
Although Myanmar is very backward and very worn, their happiness index is very high. I think this should be what we know.
We buy fruit at the pineapple stall, 4 for 10 yuan. Let the merchant help to peel the skin. After a while, the merchant took a transparent plastic bag filled with water. We couldnt speak, and he gestured with the hand to let us touch the bag. Inside is the cold water, the weather is too hot, he wants to give the pineapple ice to give us a summer heat.
A happy couple who met on the road.
At that moment, I was thinking, maybe the real happiness is not how much money to earn, how big a house to live, how expensive to wear. Maybe you have a person you love and love you. Two people know each other, understand each other, and have a plain savory rice and vinegar tea. When two people are at sunrise, they will take care of each other and they will be very happy.
Maybe you will ask me if I am tired of seeing temples in Myanmar every day. I especially liked the stupa scattered on the plains in the ancient city of Inwa, the pillars of the broken wall, the mottled Buddha statues, and the feeling of being in the temple escape game.
Lazy dog, the ancient sky tree, ridiculous but people want to be in a daze here. Interestingly, when I left, there was a foreign girl who said to me, nice dress. It turned out that she is boasting that my skirt looks good. It is true that the skirt feels retro, and it is easy to integrate with the building with such a vicissitudes behind it.
Here we were surprised to see the Burmese people taking wedding dresses in front of the pagoda, because Myanmar is different from us, they are not afraid of it, and it is allowed to shoot Buddha images in the temple. Because many people in Myanmar are very poor, many people have no money to ask Buddha to go home, so they encourage people to take photos with their mobile phones and offer them at home. It is especially good to see this practice.

Five hundred years of change, the tides and tides, the prosperity of the "Inwa ancient city", the numerous beautiful buildings have risen from the ground, the deep spiritual beliefs have long stood in the hearts of people, the torrent of history is rolling forward, once the lights The hustle and bustle of the capital became weak in the face of natural disasters and man-made disasters. A great earthquake in 1893 completely destroyed the city. During the Second World War, the ancient city of Inwa was further hit hard, leaving only the fragmented historical sites. The ancient city of Inwa is like a dusty book, looking forward to the enduring circulation of the world.
