This route not only caters to travelers who love history and architecture, but is also suitable for parents or small groups to take a slow trip, making it ideal for the first time to visit Malta!

🌟Route Recommendation:
Ancient City of Mdina → Catacombs of Santa Catadus → Cliffs of Dingley → Gardens of St. Anton → Craft Village of Tarquali → Mosta Dome Church

The ancient city of Mdina
Known as the “City of Silence,” Mdina is surrounded by strong walls and is filled with medieval architecture and stone alleys. Walking into the city gate, there is a sense of crossing, wandering along the stairs and alleys, you can take pictures of the ancient city gates, the outer walls of the cathedral and the ancient castle. It is recommended to spend some time relaxing with a cup of coffee at the Cafe and feel the slow pace of the town.

Catacombs of Santa Catadus
Located in Rabat next to Mdina, this catacomb showcases Maltese church history and ancient Roman period architecture. Although not large, the underground corridor is shady and full of mystery while getting a feel for the Maltese faith culture.

Dingley Cliffs
Once you reach the edge of the cliff, you are immediately attracted by the blue sea. The cliff is spectacular and great for taking pictures. There are trails and observation decks, and if you want to stay away from the crowds, you can walk a little further to find a place to take beautiful photos slowly. Be sure to bring sunglasses and a jacket, anytime the wind blows.

St. Anton Gardens
The garden is free to enter, the environment is very quiet, full of all kinds of flowers and trees, as well as peacocks and pigeons, perfect for parents and children. Flowers are different in all seasons, and every time you come there is a new surprise. In summer it is recommended to go in the morning, less crowded and not afraid of heat.

Taquali Craft Village
A must-see if you want to buy souvenirs or learn about traditional Maltese craftsmanship! There are glass blowing, handmade silverware, leather boutiques, etc. Many masters are there to demonstrate on the spot, which feels very local. There are many choices of souvenirs, and the prices are affordable.

Mosta Dome Church
The finale comes to Malta’s famous landmark, the Mosta Dome, known as the third largest unsupported dome in Europe, with a magnificent design. The interior of the dome is gorgeously painted and the light shining through the stained glass is fantastic. Be sure to visit the bullet holes where bombs of yesteryear did not explode to see the miracles of those days! On-site tickets are about €39.0. Location: Rotunda Square, 15 Church Str, Mosta MST 2014 Malta. Opening hours: year-round 09:30-16:30, Saturday 12:00-17:00, Sunday 09:30-18:00.
