In 1937, the publication of Red Star Over China set off a red storm, attracting a large number of young intellectuals to Yan'an. Shanghai girl Bai Yanming went to Yan'an with a romantic revolutionary sentiment and met Ouyang Jian, a revolutionary soldier who survived the Long March. Ouyang Jian fell in love with Bai Yanming, but was rejected by Bai Yanming. The orphan Shuanzhu found his belonging again in the revolutionary team and regarded Ouyang Jian and Bai Yanming as relatives. The distance between Ouyang Jian and Bai Yanming was getting closer and closer, but the bombing of Japanese planes came and the two died in the artillery fire. Shuanzhu stood up from grief and shouted out the tragic oath of "fighting Japan and never giving up". The red show "Yan'an Yan'an" has been a resident performance of the Oriental Red Theater in Zaoyuan Cultural Square in Yan'an since July 2016, meeting with Yan'an elders and visitors from all walks of life every day. Zaoyuan Cultural Square has a total area of ​​42,000 square meters and is a cultural and artistic landmark that showcases the new style of New Yan'an. Its five central cultural experience projects (the Dongfanghong Theater, which is tailor-made for cultural tourism performances, the "Long March Road" 4D cinema created with excellent dynamic experience technology, the "Northern Shaanxi Art Stage" that brings together northern Shaanxi folk art, the Cultural and Art Square full of artistic atmosphere and educational functions, and the "Yan'an 1938" underground block that fashionablely expresses the historical flavor of the old Yan'an city in 1938) constitute a rich supporting facility that can provide tourists of different ages with a full range of new experiences in eating, drinking, playing and traveling. It is a milestone project for Yan'an to promote the development of tourism culture.
