Original Text
Starting from the Yodogawa hut, I ran vertically on Yakushima. On the second night in Yamanaka, I stayed at Takatsuka hut, and the next morning, after seeing Jomon cedar, Daio cedar, Meoto cedar, and Wilson stock, I arrived at Okina cedar. It takes about 2 hours from Takatsuka hut. It seems that the trunk had become hollow and corroded and fell in September 2009. I learned that the large plants were covered with moss and that Yakusugi would end his life over thousands of years, and I once again touched on the greatness of nature.
It is Yakusugi on the way to Jomonsugi. It seems that it has fallen quite recently, and unfortunately it is now only stumps. The stump alone was quite large, so I thought it was a fine Yakusugi.

It used to be a huge Yakusugi. The guide taught me. It felt like I would pass by without a guide.
