Usuki Park is the name given when the ruins of Usuki Castle were maintained as a park. In other words, it is the ruins of Usuki Castle itself, and travelers do not need to be aware of Usuki Park.
Usuki Park is a park designated as a cultural property on the site of Usuki Castle. The view is good because it is on a hill. However, since the park is designated as a cultural property, there is no fall prevention fence from the viewpoint of maintaining the landscape, so be careful. There is a multipurpose ground in the center of the park, but other than that, the atmosphere of the castle ruins remains.
The site of Usuki Castle is a park with Hiro 々. It is a calm place with a view of the city of Usuki and the sea and a famous place for cherry blossoms, but there are monuments and Gokoku Shrine for victims of the Pacific War and the Russo Japanese War, and it was also a place where people could think about peace.
Usuki Castle was selected as one of the 100 Continued Japanese Castles. The ruins of the castle are Gokoku Shrine and a park. It seems to be a famous place for cherry blossoms, but when I visited in autumn, the big ginkgo was colored yellow. You can see the sea from the park.
