Baishitougou Eco-tourism Area

Baishitougou Ecological Tourism Area in Hohhot is a national AAA-level Attraction integrating leisure vacation, sightseeing, conference training, and outdoor development. It has been rated as a national water conservancy scenic spot by the Ministry of Water Resources. It is one of the key tourism development projects in Hohhot and one of the important attractions of the four boutique tourism routes in Inner Mongolia.

Baishi Ecological Tourism Attraction is located in Baishitougou, upstream of Wuyi Reservoir, 20 kilometers west of Hohhot, with a depth of 7 kilometers and an area of ​​28 square kilometers. The area is characterized by high mountains and steep ridges, lush vegetation, and a large area of ​​secondary forests, birch forests, poplar forests, pine forests, wild pears, wild apricots and other wild fruit trees. The vegetation coverage rate of the mountains and forests is 73%, and the vegetation coverage rate of the shady slopes is 95%. There are many wild animals in the Attraction, such as blue sheep, roe deer, wild deer, hares, squirrels, eagles, pheasants, stone quails, etc. In the depths of the Attraction, it can be described as beautiful mountains and clear waters, and the streams in the Attraction flow continuously. The main natural landscapes include: Guanyin Temple on the Eagle Cliff, Feilai Stone next to Shuilian Cave, Guanyin Cave in Oasis Valley, Feilian Waterfall in Qishiyu, Northern Wei Aobao Site on the top of Bangchui Mountain, Yaowang Temple Site, and the former site of the Dadonggou Anti-Japanese Guerrilla.

Since the initial development in 2003, the Attraction has successively built water parks, land arenas, bird parks, Mongolian yurts, farmyards, large and small conference halls, Dining service centers, Oudian Villa Resort, Qinglong Pavilion, Baihu Pavilion, Xuanwu Pavilion, Yanque Pavilion, Baishi River 100-meter viewing corridor, Longtan Waterfall, Guanyin Cave, large Maitreya Buddha stone statue, outdoor expansion sports training base, real CS camp, large parking lot, Baishi shopping mall and other facilities. At the same time, there are: alpine grass skiing, water warships, Mongolian archery, water rollers, bumper cars, beach motorcycles, karts, ancient cultural parks, 24 filial piety pictures, bungee jumping, space rings, and other recreational facilities. Visitors can also take sightseeing buses to enjoy the beautiful natural scenery along the way. It has the ability to receive tourists. It is becoming a good place for Residents of Huhhot, Baotou and Hubei to travel, relax and spend the summer, which shows that the Attraction is popular with tourists and has the advantages of developing natural ecological tourism with mountains, water and forests.
