I visited during Izushi's free time for 100 minutes. It is an important cultural property designated by Hyogo Prefecture and is the oldest playhouse in Kinki. I got a discount ticket at the Karo residence, so the group fee is 320 yen. Opened in 1897 and closed in 1964. A major renovation was carried out in 2008 and the building was reopened. You can also see the abyss in the playhouse with the scent of the Meiji era.
It was my first time to see a playhouse, and it was a very valuable experience to be able to see things that I had heard about, such as the surrounding stage, the abyss, and the flower road, up close. The signboards at that time are also tasteful, and you can immerse yourself in the world view here.
Izushi Eirakukan is the oldest existing playhouse in Toyooka City, Hyogo Prefecture. It was built more than 120 years ago, in the first year of the twentieth century. The audience seats are tatami mats. It blends into the cityscape of the castle town. You can still watch plays and yose in active service.
