Dark granite trail
This is a lonely backcountry trail. You should only use a high clearance 4x4 vehicle on this trail. You will get to see the Eye of the Needle, but only on the return trip.
Spent 5 nights camping here with an REI camping and hiking tour in Death Valley. Very quiet and picturesque. Lots of good backwoods hiking to be found.
This is a small mountain range on the east side of Death Valley. Pyramid Peak is the highest and can be easily seen. It's all part of the scenery that makes Death Valley so special.

Not sure how it got it's name
Not sure I'd want to be an added statistic if the mountain got it's name from the number of people buried here. However, they are beautiful
