Red building

As one of the oldest and only remaining Russian-style buildings in Tacheng, the Red House has a history of nearly a hundred years. At present, it is the office land of Tacheng Newspaper Office, and it is an autonomous region-level cultural relics protection unit. The Red House was built in the second year of Xuantong in the Qing Dynasty, that is, in 1910, by the Tatar businessman Remazan Kanyshev, who was originally from Russia. It covers an area of 885 square meters and is divided into upper and lower floors. There are 16 large and small houses in total. The ceiling floor, iron roof, door frame and window lattice are all built with exquisite patterns. The walls facing the street are all light red, so people call it "Red House". After the red building was completed and put into use, Remazan Kanyshev operated a large number of local specialties and import and export trade here, becoming the center of Tacheng import and export trade at that time, and many businesses from Dihua (Urumqi) also came here to open their doors. agency. In 1933, Sheng Shicai arrested Remazan Kanyshev on trumped-up charges, and the red building was confiscated and turned into a hospital; later the red building was returned to the original owner. Soon after the son of Remazan Kannyshev took over the Red House, he donated it and still used it as a hospital. Later, the red building was successively converted into the office building of the regional administrative agency, the guest house, and the office building of the agricultural department of the administrative agency. In 1985, the Red Building was designated as the office space of the Tacheng Newspaper. In recent years, many domestic film and television directors have made a special trip to Tacheng and put it on the screen, allowing hundreds of millions of viewers to see its style, and many foreign tourists who come to Tacheng will also come here to visit.
