There is a castle-shaped observatory on the ruins of the castle in Shiroyama General Park, from which you can see Sakurajima and Kirishima mountain ranges. Cherry blossom viewing is a good place in spring.

When I climbed without using the ropeway, the cold cherry blossoms were in bloom and it was very beautiful. It seems that the golden turtle was in the moat a long time ago and is also called the golden turtle castle, so it may be auspicious. Please be careful because there are very steep stairs inside the castle. I could see the Seto Inland Sea.
