Stepping back
Recommended for anyone who appreciates the islands of San-Cap. The history both new and old such as how the names Sanibel Captiva came about to the 1963 causeway will interest you.
Reassembled , restored, and stocked with every imaginable household item in the pioneers homes, school, and country store. The introductory video is a must see to get an in depth greeting to who lived...
Was interesting to see the actual first little white school house located on the island and how they created an educational experience all in one place.
Buildings were well maintained and clearly reflected the period. The grounds were well kept. The staff was very knowledgeable. Wonderful way to see and experience some Sanibel history.

Sanibel's history is worth a look
The Sanibel residents who lovingly collected these historic buildings in one spot did a fantastic job. The history of this island is worth a look.
