Sheikh Mohammed Bin Salim Al Qasimi Mosque

The temple is located in the old city of Ras Al Khaimah and is the surviving temple in the UAE so far. Archaeological excavations have revealed that early mosques date back to the second half of the 18th century (the period identified by preliminary analysis). Historical records show that as early as the 16th century, a mosque was built here, but due to the pit, it is impossible to restore the shape of the early mosque. Archaeological discoveries led to the construction of a mosque in the 18th century, but it was destroyed during the British occupation in 1819-1820, and the current mosque was built on its foundation. The mosque has been renovated many times and there are still extensions to this day.
