Zhapu Town belongs to Pinghu City, Jiaxing City, Zhejiang Province, located in the southeast of Pinghu City, east and north, respectively, Pinghu City Dushangang Town, Linyi Town, Danghu Street junction, west and southwest and Haiyan County border. Zhapu is located on the north bank of Hangzhou Bay, surrounded by mountains and sea, and has been known as the "Jiangzhe Portal" and "Haikou Heavy Town" since ancient times. In the Qing Dynasty, it was an important gateway for foreign economic and cultural exchanges in northern Zhejiang, known as "Southeast Xiong Town".

Zhapu is a thousand-year-old town, located in the southeast of Pinghu City, since Qin and Han Dynasty built the city, the Han Dynasty called the old city, Zhapu name was first seen in the Tang Dynasty. Since ancient times, there has been the "Jiangzhe Gateway" and "Haikou Heavy Town", in the Qing Dynasty is an important gateway for foreign economic and cultural exchanges in northern Zhejiang. Zhapu Town has been repeatedly disrupted by war, the city has been destroyed several times, and now the old neighborhood of Zhapu Ancient Town still exists, the basic shape of North Street and East and West Street is still there, and some buildings in the Qing Dynasty and the Republic of China.
