Follow the street leading to the track and field of Odawara Shiroyama, and climb a steep slope to the precincts on your left. It is a temple of the Soto sect, and the founder is said to be Jiro Doi, a Sagami gozoku (local ruling family), Mihei Doi. It is one of the seven lucky gods of Odawara, "Juroro". It is said that the name of this temple was named because the roof of the main hall of Hosuin resembles the feathers of "phoenix". There were many people visiting the grave on the equinoctial week.
