The Republic of Abkhazia does not follow the monuments. Even this, the very possible place to find the pot of Apostle Simon Cannith (there is variability in the matter), looks touristically-negligible.
It is necessary to deal with historical ancients on its territory, especially if they are considered as tourist objects. Forgotten, abandoned, you can pass by unless you know history.
One of the unique monuments, both church and architectural, dates to the LX -X century. The place of burial. Currently - shame , inside desert and destruction!

closed (most times!) not extraordinary from outside, but nice park nearby with waterfall and snack bar
