The dam lake of the Sadauchi River Dam is Lake Tokachi Ryutan. It is a rare name, but it was named because the surface of the lake looks like a dragon when viewed from above. Like the dam, it is located in nature and is surrounded by mountains 々.

It is a dam lake of the Sadachi River Dam, which was built as a multipurpose dam for flood control, tap water, agricultural irrigation water, hydroelectric power generation, and started operation in 1997 in the upper reaches of the Sadachi River water system, which originates from Mt. Sadachi in the Hidaka Mountains. When the lake surface is seen from the sky, it looks like a dragon and the name of the dragon gallery (lindow) is native to the surrounding area. The waterlogged area is 170 ha, which is included in the corner of the Hidaka Mountains Erimo Quasi National Park and forms one of the scenery of the "Tokachi Country Space Museum".
