A comfortable hiking course with a view of Lake Biwa from the castle site
Original Text
Yokoyama Castle is a mountain castle, so the ruins of the castle are on the top of the mountain, but there are multiple courses to the top, all of which are maintained by locals. The course from Hieda Shrine was about 30 minutes to the top, which was a slightly steep hiking course, but the view from the top was wonderful and you can see the city of Nagahama and Lake Biwa. Yokoyama Castle is the hashiba army garrison after the battle of Anegawa, and Otani Castle faces the same mountain castle across the Anegawa River.
