A break point in the middle of Mt. Minami Takao
Original Text
It is a scenic break point in the middle of the trekking course (Kanto Fureai Road) called Minami Takao Ryo, which connects Otarumi Pass and Takao Yamaguchi. It takes more than 4 hours to walk all the courses, but I think you should choose the course according to your leg strength. Currently, construction is underway to cope with the collapse of the mountain road immediately after entering from Otarumizu Pass.
It is located on a walking path around Lake Shiroyama, and is also connected to Mt. Takao by mountain trail. From the top of the mountain, you can overlook the city of Hachioji, the lake below, and the city of Hashimoto across the lake. There are also benches and observation decks, which are good points for lunch and breaks.
I climbed in early April. Located on the boundary between Hachioji City, Machida City, and Sagamihara City, it is also nicknamed "Year Mountain" after the altitude of 364 m. Yamaatsuji and violet also bloomed, and I enjoyed spring flowers and sprouting. It was good to be able to climb from Takao Yamaguchi Station in about an hour and a half, and it was quieter than the crowded mountain of Mt. Takao.
