Longmen Bridge

Longmen Bridge spans the Yihe River, which is both a traffic bridge to and from the Yihe River and the gate of Longmen Grottoes. The bridge is wide and magnificent, you can stand at the bridge and overlook the Longmen Grottoes and Xiangshan Temple on the other side, and feel the breeze blowing from the Yi River at dusk. The bridge starts near the water plant in Longmengang Town, Qinnan District, Qinzhou City, and ends at Jingu Avenue, Qinzhou Port Economic and Technological Development Zone, Qinzhou City. The bridge is built according to the standard of two-way six-lane urban expressway. The bridge is 7756 meters long, of which the main bridge is a single-span double-bar suspension bridge, one across the sea, using a door concrete cable tower, the tower is 173 meters high, the main span is 1160 meters steel box girder bridge, the surface width is 35 meters, and the lead bridge is a prestressed concrete continuous box girder bridge. The project investment is estimated to be 61.5 billion yuan, and the construction period is five years.

Longmen Bridge is located at Longmen Pass, built in 1960, and then Vice Premier Chen Yi, Marshal, said the word "Longmen". This bridge is an important passage connecting the East and West Mountains of Longmen, across the Yi River, and now becomes one of the landmarks of Luoyang Longmen Grottoes. At the entrance of the Longmen Grottoes Tourist Point, the East and West ends are Baiyuan and Longmen Grottoes Research Institute.

The Longmen Bridge Bridge is located at the old entrance of the Longmen Grottoes Scenic Area. It has not changed in decades. It is facing the pier at the entrance of the Longmen Grottoes. In the past, the Longmen Bridge was a hub connecting both sides of the river, and pedestrians and vehicles crossed the bridge. While crossing the bridge, you can see the Longmen Grottoes from the side. There are stalls, snacks, and small businesses on both sides of the bridge. Now, after visiting the Longmen Grottoes, visitors can also pass by the bridge to the Xiangshan Temple and Baijuyi Tomb on the other side. And from the direction of Longmen Dongshan, you can see the panoramic view of the grottoes on the west side. Due to the expansion of the Longmen Grottoes scenic area, the bridge is wrapped in the scenic area, which is no longer a major traffic road.

Longmen Scenic Area is from the west side of Longmen Bridge, south along the west bank of the Yihe River, cross the scenic bridge, and then take the east bank of the Yihe River to the east bridge of the Longmen Bridge. The grottoes of Xishan and Dongshan on both sides of this circle are Longmen Scenic Area. The bridge is spectacular and very powerful, no matter where you walk in the scenic spot, you can see the Longmen Bridge from afar.
