Beacon Heights NC
Just off the Blue Ridge parkway near Grandfather Mountain. A great place to stop and have lunch after riding in the car for hours. Must See!
Short and easy, great view at the end
The trail is short and easy, the view was great and beautiful. It wasn't crowed when we were there. The fall color was at peak.
Extraordinary views
This is an easy hike with extraordinary views at the top. Once you reach the top you can go to the left or right. I liked the left side more but both are amazing.
Big Views
A very easy hike from the parkway. Very nice panoramic view. One of the better places we stopped right along the Parkway.

It's a short hike from the Blue Ridge parkway, and while it was pretty easy for us and our kiddos (8 and 5), my inlaws were feeling it a little, as there is some uphill hiking. Overall, I'd put it be...
