Kazutoyo Yamauchi, the main castle of Mr. Nagasokabe, a male of the Sengoku period, and until he moved to Kochi Castle, also placed a government office here. There was also a pier, including the current Katsurahama area.
I wasn't very familiar with the history of Kochi, so I went to the Sakamoto Ryoma Memorial Hall and didn't know that there was a castle near this sea during the time of Mr. Chosokabe before Mr. Yamauchi became the feudal lord. There is a small mountain next to the memorial hall and the national residence, which is the ruins of the castle. There was a commentary and a stone monument.
Most of the sites are Ryoma Memorial Hall and National Residence.

It is the site of Mr. Nagasokabe's mountain castle, which ruled Kochi during the medieval period, and now most of the site is the Ryoma Memorial Hall and the national residence. A part of the stone wall is preserved.
The remains of the Nagasokabe clan's home base on a hill overlooking the entrance of Tosa Bay

It is the ruins of a medieval mountain castle, and you can see the remains of Guo (flat land) and Horikiri Dori street. Also, probably because Mr. Nagasokabe is maintaining it as the main castle, you can see the castle tower in the main enclosure, and some traces of stone walls. However, the Ryoma Memorial Hall and the national lodging are built on the main enclosure and Ninomaru, and you can't feel the sense of unity as a castle ruin. It's like looking around the scattered remains.
Hiking course
This is one of my recommended places in kochi. You can do hiking and enjoy both mountains and Pacific Ocean!
