I felt a long tradition and history. It has a solemn atmosphere, but it's nostalgic somewhere. It's well maintained and wonderful.

He is the god of learning. I went by car. The roadway is narrow. You can worship on foot, but it is on a hill and you need to climb the stairs.

I worshiped with my feet for sightseeing in Kesennuma. There was a wisdom cow in the precincts, and fortune lottery was wrapped around the horns, ears, feet, etc. I wanted to study more and give wisdom, so I stroked my head well. Well, in the end, my efforts are more important than asking God. It's hard to understand how to get there by car, but if you climb the narrow road on the west side and go around the north side of the shrine, you can get out of the parking lot to the back approach.

10 minutes walk from JR Kesennuma station. There is a shrine at the end of the stone steps across the BRT road (formerly the Kesennuma line track). Founded in 1681. It was moved to its current location in 1794. The main deity is Sugawara no Michizane. The hall of worship is hung like a swallow, not a bell. It seems that the god of learning is that there is a "wisdom cow" instead of a swallowing cow in the precincts. To the right of the hall of worship, a new Kagura hall, which was completed in 2013, is built. I visited the middle of the three consecutive holidays in July ...

This shrine is about a 10-minute walk from Kesennuma Station, and is easy to reach by railroad and BRT users. This used to be a shrine famous for crossing the railroad tracks in the middle of the approach, but after the earthquake, the railroad tracks were reborn as a dedicated road for BRT, and if you remember the previous scenery, you will feel a little uncomfortable. Is it a scenery think. I visited here after mid-March 2016, but this year is a warm winter, some cherry blossoms are already in bloom, and enjoy the spring costume ...
