I'm a little lonely as a tourist attraction.
Original Text
There are places called samurai residences in various places, but the ruins of Kashima samurai residences are a little lonely as a tourist attraction. Just a few gates are lined up, and you can't feel the atmosphere. However, there is a park in the nearby castle site, so it is not bad to hang out.
It is an area on the south side of Asahigaoka Park that seems to have been a samurai residence in the past. The gate may have been at that time, but the premises are all modern buildings. The distance is short, so I'm not impressed.
It is generally called Samurai Residence Street. It is about 200 m on the south side of Asahigaoka Park. This is the site of the samurai residence under Kashima Castle. Nowadays, only white walls and masonry remain, but this alone is valuable. Only the Munemon gate of the Hara family remains. It is designated as a cultural property.
The remains of the samurai residence remain near the ruins of Kashima Castle. The only remains are the Karo (chief retainer) of the late Edo period, the Munemon gate of the samurai residence of the Hara family. It seems that the house of the Hara family was also a thatched samurai residence, but it seems that the house has collapsed from a distance. I hope that a samurai residence like the former Norita family in Hizen Hamajuku can be rebuilt.
It was next to the park next to Kashima Castle, and I was impressed that the white walls were very beautiful. It seems that he was a chief retainer of the Nabeshima domain and had a prestigious reputation. Unfortunately there was a green cherry blossom in front, but 4 It would have been more impressive when I visited at the beginning of the month.
