I often visit together when climbing Mt. Gendake. Since it is on the ridgeline, the wind is very strong and the splashes can fly. Since it is a trail that has been mowed, the remaining bamboo will disturb your feet. You can see beautiful scenery as if it exceeded the forest limit. From the nearby parking lot, we will take a slope that is too steep to make it realistic.

There is an ice pond in the middle of the Izu Skyline. The green surface of the lake is impressive in the pond made in the valley of the fault. There is also a Gendake Observatory nearby and the scenery is nice.

In the old days, it was a pond that is said to have been cut out and carried from here. You can reach it on a bad road about a 10-minute walk from the parking lot near the Izu Skyline Gendake Interchange. It's a little minor spot.
