I stopped by the "Iron History Museum" as a tourist spot on the way from Miyako to Kesennuma. A slightly unique building on a small hill. A C20 steam locomotive used by the Kamaishi Mining Railway is on display beside the parking lot. Rainfall & Weekday, there were only a few tourists. The first thing I saw was the theater centered on the full-scale model that reproduced the existing Japanese oldest Western-style blast furnace, Hashino Iron Mine No. 3. It teaches the history of iron with sound, light and video. ...
It is located in a small high place and the scenery is beautiful. The history of the iron industry of Kamaishi is introduced with materials and videos. It's for adults, but in the second half, some children can enjoy it.
