The volunteer-run museum is located next to Julian’s main street and provides a good window into Julian’s past and the entire 19th and early 20th centuries. There are items of interest to children (animal skills, looking at guns, old phones, precious metals, bookshelves of US President Grant. All of this, coupled with Julian’s history since the city’s inception, makes the museum a great place to go. If you are interested in learning more about Julian's origins or the entire period, visit the site, and although you can easily spend more than an hour looking around, for most people,30-45 minutes is enough.
