Istanbul Military Museum

The powerful imprints left on the history of the Ottoman Empire are well known throughout the world. The empire of this vertical and horizontal era also once had a strong military power. The museum displays camping tents, sophisticated weapons and other equipment used by the Turkish troops in the Ottoman era. A wide variety of precious originals can be seen in this military museum, formerly an army school, which is a feast for the eyes. In addition, there is an Ottoman era military music performance every day between 3 and 4 pm. The museum is divided into two floors. The first floor exhibits medieval armor, military uniforms, and battle flags, both Turkish and captured. More special is the wartime royal tent, which is more gorgeous and refined with fine gold and silver thread, jewelry, precious silk and beautiful patterns. When going out in Sudan, it was used as a command post. On the second floor are some exhibits about the World War and the Turkish War.
