A nice way to spend a day in the park !
Date of visit : 20th June 2019 Despite the weather forecast, we had a rainy and wet day when the afternoon came. Our tour guides Akemi and Misa brought us to meet the nature guide, and we had to gear...
It is a natural reserve rather than a park, and many seaside plants grow naturally. There is a wooden path about 600 meters from the visitor center, but since there is a gravel road ahead, easy-to-walk shoes are essential. Since it was the end of June, I was able to see pretty flowers such as Hamanas, Hamamahigao, and Ezokawara pine.
The Ishikari River is a narrow ~ park about 1km at the tip of Isu. There is a visitor center and a lighthouse near the entrance, and the car is there. The sunset in Ishikari Bay was shining in Susukihara.
I went to this park with my family to see the sunset from Ishikari Bay, but I was able to spend a leisurely stroll. There are no playsets, but the flowers are in bloom and it was good for a walk.
Ishikari's beach is crowded in summer, but there is Manasu Hill Park further back. Many manasu bloom every July. It's best to take a picture with the red and white background of the lighthouse. The large park can be toured by bicycle, and there is also a course for walking through the wooden passage. It is a cozy park full of nature.
