Samantabhadra Temple

King Kong Temple is located in Puxian Temple on the road leading to Miaoxiang Mountain. It was built in 1014 AD. There are various trees such as fir, sea pine and ash in front of the temple. The main buildings in the temple are Daxiong Hall, Wansui Building, Liberation Gate, Tianwang Gate, a four-cornered 9-story pagoda, and an octagonal 13-story pagoda. The Daxiong Hall has high walls, a Xieshan-style roof, a streamlined and thick-waisted column, and the decoration of wonderful sculptures, which looks harmonious and dignified. The hall preserves 6,780 volumes of Buddhist classics engraved in the 13th century, and the 13-story octagonal stone pagoda of Puxian Temple is in front of this hall. Upstairs of the Long Live is preserved the government journal "Li Dynasty Record", which is more than 500 years old during the Li Dynasty, which is a valuable historical material of North Korea. Puxian Temple is one of the five major temples in North Korea. It was bombed by American planes during the Korean War. The current temple was rebuilt after the war. On the rock plate where the two waterfalls of Sanzhu and Longyuan are rushing down, there is the famous Shangyuanan. This nunnery was built during the Goryeo period (918-1392 AD) and was later destroyed. The present old temple was rebuilt in 1580. There is an old linden tree with intertwined roots in the nunnery. There is a cake-making stone beside the tree, and a dragon-horn stone is erected near the east. The towers and halls of Shangyuan Nunnery are simple and elegant, in harmony with the surrounding natural scenery.
