According to the latest feedback from locals, this year the cross-sea waves in Gulao Water Town (the largest lotus pond in previous years) were dug out the roots of the lotus due to the earlier cleaning of the silt. So this year there are no lotus flowers to enjoy (not climate reasons) and small lotus flowers everywhere in the countryside are open as scheduled.
