Tepid tea
The tea room was almost empty, not serving food except for a raggedy selection of cakes, and- to make it worse- served the worst tea that I have tasted in ages. And it was £6 for 2.
This is an interesting place with excellent information about the whole area. It has a crammed second hand book shop and a good makers market with a range of local crafts.
This is a real gem of a place. So much information on all sorts of local topics which is really well presented. A great model of the town and lovely helpful volunteers. Don’t miss it

Well worth a visit.
Well worth a visit. Dog friendly. Museum, hand made crafts gallery, bookshop, cafe and tourist information. Friendly staff. Lovely location.

An interesting place
An interesting place to "pop into" if you like 2nd hand books or are interested in local crafts - and, of course, for a coffee
