A Lighthouse

This is one of the lighthouses where the Douro meets the Atlantic. We could see it in the distance as we strolled along the river and the ocean. It is pleasant.

Still covered in scaffolding

It's still being worked on, with the main tower still covered in scaffolding. Can still walk round the outside though.

The oldest lighthouse in Europe

Opposite the end of the number 1 tram terminus on the bank of the river stands a 15th century lighthouse currently being restored. It will be interesting to learn more about this site hopefully it wil...

Well...to date still closed.

We thought of getting off the bis to see the lighthouse...but as we whent by it on the bus we still saw construction work. For a walk its ok, but dont go there on purpouse just yet.

Promenade tranquille

Le phare en lui-même n'a aucun intérêt. La promenade autour à de quoi plaire. C'est ici que le tramway à son Terminus. La promenade en tram vaut son poids.
