From Sapporo, pass through ebetsu city and on the right side

From Sapporo, take National Highway 12 and pass through Ebetsu city and you will find it on the right side. Ebetsu's special products are on sale, and the restaurant has a menu using Ebetsu ingredients.
There is a local product sales corner. You can buy it at a relatively low price. There is also a direct vegetable sales office adjacent to the premises. It feels like a roadside station.
This is on the right side of the road from Iwamizawa to Ebetsu City on National Highway 12. Although it says that it is a disaster prevention station, the first floor sells special products of Ebetsu City, and the second floor is a restaurant and Kamikawa Maru (the bottom of the ship is flat (so that it can navigate even in shallow waters). There is a full-scale model of a classic steamship called the Ishikari River (Uryu region) that carried timber and agricultural products to Ebetsu) and a material exhibition about the history of the Ishikari River. Chitose River ... from the rooftop
You can enjoy a fairly spectacular exhibition though it is free

It is a facility that can be enjoyed in both the museum-like exhibition about the history of the Ishikari River and the educational aspect for raising awareness of disaster prevention, which can be reached in about 15 minutes on foot from Ebetsu Station on the JR Hakodate Main Line. Admission is free, so it's a good idea to stop by casually. What I personally liked was the full-scale replica exhibition of the steamship "Kamikawamaru", which once sailed on the Ishikari River, and you can see the inside of the ship from a nearby distance, but it's too big. It's hard to take a picture of the whole picture (or virtually nothing ...).
You can learn the history of flood control of the Ishikari River .
