Immersed in the tranquil Oxfordshire countryside, Blenheim Palace is an exquisite fusion of historical grandeur, artistic mastery, and the enchanting embrace of nature. As the majestic Baroque edifice comes into view, you're welcomed by the whispering canopy of ancient trees, each one a silent guardian of history. Within its walls, the palace unfolds in a display of luxurious splendor. The State Rooms are a gallery of timeless elegance, showcasing ornate tapestries and portraits that capture the essence of life. The library, a sanctuary of wisdom, beckons with its collection of historic volumes. And the ground floor, with its Sleeping Beauty theme, offers an escape into a fairy-tale realm that transcends the bounds of mere architecture.

Very old town. The car shuttled through the streets of Bath. It turned out that this was the hometown of "Jane Austen", the female writer with "Pride and Prejudice". Simple, beautiful, leisurely, peaceful, elegant and quiet. It can only be said that it is difficult to describe its beauty. very good. There are many tourists, but it is very orderly. The air is also very good. It feels very pleasant to walk quietly.

Covid regulations at the castle/prison dictate that an hours guided tour must be taken. In reality a visit without one would be a mistake. Our tour was conducted by Becca, right from the start it was obvious she has a thorough knowledge of the sights to see at the location. A thoroughly enjoyable, rewarding and enlightening visit. Highly recommended.
