The Two Towers, "Le due torri", both of them leaning, are the symbol of Bologna, and probably the most prominent one. Until 1919, there were actually 5 towers in this square. Bologna was always known as the city of towers, “La Turrita”, as over the centuries, particularly between the 12th and the 13th century, the city had possibly over 200 towers.Almost all them were tall (the highest being 97 m), defensive stone towers. There are now 25 towers left without counting the hundreds of bell towers in the city. The taller one of the pair is called the Asinelli while the smaller but more leaning tower is called the Garisenda. Their names derive from the families which are traditionally credited with constructing them between 1109 and 1119.The Asinelli Tower was used by the scientists Giovanni Battista Riccioli (in 1640) and Giovanni BattistaGuglielmini (in the following century) for experiments to study the motion of heavy bodies and the earth rotation. Bologna’s towers were cited several times by Dante in the Divine Comedy and The Rhymes (a confirmation of his stay in Bologna), and by Goethe in his Italian Journey. The Two Towers have also been the subject of an eponymous poem by Giosuè Carducci as part of the Barbarian Odes. Charles Dickens wrote about the towers in his Pictures from Italy. In World War II, between 1943 and 1945, it was used as a sight post: during bombing attacks, four volunteers took post at the top to direct rescue operations to places hit by Allied bombs.Later, a RAI television relay was installed on top.Architect Minor Yamasaki is thought to have been inspired by the Towers when designing the World Trade Center during the 1960s.

The private courtyard of the legendary Italian family Bobori family is a huge area and a very good garden view of the old town. Many people here are maintaining it and can visit it in the external environment.

The large lawns of the Miracle Square are scattered with a cluster of religious buildings, the cathedral (built in 1063-13th century), the Baptist Church (built in 1153-14th century), the Bell Tower (the Leaning Tower of Pisa) and the Cemetery (built in 1174). Their exterior walls are made of milky white marble, each relatively independent but formed a unified Roman architectural style. They are all masterpieces of architectural history, and the Miracle Square is one of the center of the medieval art that has a profound impact on future architectural design. The Leaning Tower of Pisa is located behind the Pisa Cathedral. Address: Italy-Tuscany-Pizza City, Pisa Tower is located in the square.

Blessed by God
such a lovely place, the duomo or cathedral is very big that I cannot take a picture of the whole cathedral. Even if I have seen it several times I always love to visit and see it again and again.

It is a cathedral that was good as a single saw while traveling in Europe for a month. If you relax with a spritz at a nearby open-air cafe, it's heaven :)

There are three floors in total, and you will find people here when you play in Italy. We think that the 1st floor is marked as 0. It is reasonable to think about it. Most of the museum's things are a lot of instruments on the second and third floors. There are many natural astronomical and geographical instruments. There are also very famous several physics principles to build, used to this can really see, I bought 10 euros of tickets, really worth it, walked more than two hours, there are not too many things inside, there are many small details of small things, if -- each thought, it is estimated that a day can not be seen. Another reason may be that I have visited too many exhibitions about painting and sculpture art. Suddenly there is such an exhibition. It is really very special and novel. For the students who have already looked at the numbness, it is quite refreshing. Hahaha I wanted to search for Galileo Bo before I came yesterday. I didn't find too much of the guide of the museum. I will write it to everyone today.
