No one there
On July 20th we got there at 11am. The sign said not opened until 2pm. What good is a visitor center that does not open till late afternoon.

A lovely and fitting location for a visitor center. A courteous staff very willing to help with suggestions for your visit. Lots of literature to carry with you as you embark on your adventure.
Lots of confusion about train stations
Other reviewers have been a bit confused about where and what this particular place is. It is NOT Burlington's working Amtrak station, which is housed in an old train repair building across the road a...
A must for Tain Buffs
This building has been lovingly restored...and it is a working Amtrak station. Friendly service. But caution the train only stops for about 1 minute...don't delay.

My younger son traveled from Charlotte to Burlington for Christmas by train. I'll travel from Burlington to Charlotte by train on October 19th for my 55th High School Reunion. There is a museum inside...
