One of the highlights of my trip to Budapest was a visit to the Opera House, a beautiful building with a long history. Then we enjoyed a wonderful live opera performance. Great value for money, recommended.
Overall, Budapest is the most impressive place to date. The theatre is very shocking, very large and impressive inside. The whole building is Victorian and feels like walking into a palace once you enter. You can search for very cheap tickets, even for three euros per ticket, for special seats or special concerts, it is very worthwhile! Hungary has a very deep history of classical and Romantic music, and anyone interested in these periods should consider visiting here.
Went tonight, but unfortunately it is being renovated and can't get in.
