Charlestown Navy Yard

The Charlestown Naval Shipyard is one of the oldest shipyards in the United States Navy. It was founded in 1801 as part of the newly formed U.S. Navy Department in 1798. After 175 years of service, it was decommissioned as a naval facility on July 1, 1974.

This is a place to learn about the history of American navigation, the storm is particularly beautiful, and here you can also learn about the process of ship building, the experience is still relatively strong. Visitors are relatively small

I live in the Navy Factory and I never knew there was such a great place. There are many places to eat, but most of them walk to the yard. There you can see the frigate Constitution, there are other ships, museums, old houses and buildings, and many, many things. What a pleasant surprise.

I had some prejudices about it before, but when I came to this museum and dry dock, I had an unforgettable experience. The museum shows details of life while sailing at sea and how boats are made. Dry dock itself is a preserved historical object, and now it has been restored and renovated to play its own value.

Charleston Naval Shipyard is the largest Boston shipbuilding base, where the number of ships is large and historic.
