The site of a mineral selection site called the best in the East. It is now a ruin, but as an industrial heritage, you can see the prosperity of that time. In particular, the chicner ruins have a god 々 like a temple.
It is an industrial ruin with a huge chicner, and it is a mine ruin that supported the Japanese industry in the Meiji, Taisho and early Showa periods. I am very nostalgic to think that as many as 3,000 people were working in this deep mountain place. If you are interested in the ruins, please go see it, but public transportation is not convenient.
It is the site of a mineral selection site that was connected by rail from the Meiyan mine over one mountain. You have to make a big turn by car, but the huge remains are worth a visit.
Meiyan mine, the next elementary school site and the set

The ore is transported from the Mingyan mine to the top by rail and is sorted downward. There are no buildings on the slope, but you can refer to it because the photo of the time when the building was on the garbage disposal sign standing along the road is used. The circular chicner (coagulation sedimentation tank) looks like an ancient temple. There is Kamikohata Elementary School on the south side where children of people who worked at the mineral processing station attended, and the gymnasium and playset remain.
It is after the mineral selection site where the building was still there until 15 years ago. However, the building itself has nothing left, so it's not that different from the one on Sado Island. There are buildings left after the nearby school, so it would be even better to explore while imagining the old days while looking at the one in the back. In the past, a one-yen train passed from the top of this mine to the mountain on the other side, so I thought that it would be a better experience if I went to that position without reviving it.
